Address Group Box

Top

The address box is found in the owner, tenant, and vendor profiles. It contains four lines for the name and address. It will accommodate both domestic and foreign addresses.

The first line of any address group box is for the name as you want it to appear on mailings, e.g. John T. Smith or Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jones.

Domestic Address

The second and third lines are for the street address. Blank lines are suppressed on checks, reports and labels, so the third line is optional.

The fourth line is the city, state and zip. This is a protected field - you cannot type in this field. Instead, type in the zip code in the line below. If it is a zip code already entered in the Zip Code Table, the city, state and zip will fill in on the fourth line. If the zip code is not already in the Zip Code Table, pressing the TAB key will bring up the table so you can fill it in. Clicking on the Zip Code Box ZIPCODE will also bring up the zip code table. New zip codes can then be entered.

Foreign Address

For a foreign address, click on the Foreign box. This will eliminate the space for the zip code and the Zip Code Box. It will also allow you to type on the fourth address line, giving you three lines of freeform address information.

Copy to Clipboard

The full address block of any profile is copied to the Windows clipboard when you double click on the Label of the address block. Once on the clipboard you can paste it to another location in PROMAS or to a word processor or another program. A common use is to print an envelope using Word or Wordperfect.
