MICR

Top

MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. These codes are used on checks so the bank can process them. This system can print checks on blank check stock if you have a printer capable of printing the E-13B font set. A magnetic toner cartridge may be required to produce a machine readable (bank processable) check.

The MICR E13B font that is included with the software must be installed on the computer executing the print job. It can be found in the RPROMAS/REF directory and installed through Windows Install Fonts function.

See How to PDF document #387 for information on setting up the MICR information and installing the MICR font.
